Chords and fingerpicking
Clean chord shapes, smooth changes and the strumming and picking patterns that songs are built on.
Live guitar classes, acoustic or electric. Your child plays a real song from the first class, and every class after that builds on the last.
Taught in the right order, one skill at a time, with live correction in every class.
Clean chord shapes, smooth changes and the strumming and picking patterns that songs are built on.
Scales on the neck, simple riffs and solos, and the confidence to play a melody by ear.
Putting it together: intro to outro, in time, without stopping when something goes wrong.
Why chords fit together, how keys work, and reading chord charts and tab.
Twelve classes: ten teaching classes in which five songs are learned, one revision class, and a recital in the twelfth.
The guitar module
Ten teaching classes, with five songs learned along the way. Class 11 is revision. In class 12 your child plays all five for you: a small, live recital that shows exactly what twelve classes produced.
Class length
Matched to age and goals. The instructor recommends one in the report.
Short and focused. Young children learn best in short bursts, so every minute is spent playing.
Enough time to warm up, learn something new and play it through properly. The length most families choose.
Room for technique, repertoire and theory in one class. Best for older students and higher grades.
