What your child learns

Inside the vocals course

Taught in the right order, one skill at a time, with live correction in every class.

Breathing and support

Where the sound comes from, and how to sustain a note without pushing.

Pitch and ear training

Hearing a note and finding it, every time. The skill everything else in singing rests on.

Range extension

Safely widening what the voice can do, step by step, at the right age and pace.

Performance and stage presence

Singing in front of others with confidence, from the classroom to the stage.

The 12-class module

How the course is built

Twelve classes, each building on the last, with one clear practice target to work on every week.

Who it’s for

Vocals, ages 6 and up

  • Shy beginners who are nervous about singing in front of anyone
  • Children drawn to Indian classical, Bollywood or Western pop
  • Students preparing for graded singing exams or competitions

Not sure? The assessment class will tell you

Class length

Matched to age and goals. The instructor recommends one in the report.

Choose a class length to see who it suits

Short and focused. Young children learn best in short bursts, so every minute is spent playing.

Enough time to warm up, learn something new and play it through properly. The length most families choose.

Room for technique, repertoire and theory in one class. Best for older students and higher grades.

Questions

Vocals questions

Western or Indian style?

Both are taught. The assessment class helps decide which to start with, and many students learn a little of both.

My child is shy. Is 1-on-1 better?

Usually, yes. There is no audience in a 1-on-1 class, and the instructor builds confidence before asking for more.

Is there an age when singing lessons should start?

Children can start from age 6. The instructor keeps the work right for a young voice and never pushes the range too early.
